I've got a video that I've compressed to HEVC 8bit & HEVC 10bit. When playing back the two versions, PotPlayer displays them substantially differently - the 10bit looks noticeably darker than the 8bit. Other video players (i.e. VLC) do not show this discrepancy - the two look almost identical, which should be the expected result. Rendering settings are all on their defaults, but I've tried selecting all the different renderers offered by PotPlayer, & they all behave the same.

How can I get it to behave predictably: i.e. like VLC does, where a given video in 8bit & 10bit look at least relatively the same (not a significant darkening of 10bit vs 8bit)?

...Is this still being maintained?

If so, is there perhaps a more suitable place to contact the developers (i.e. where it's possible to get a reply)?

Ah, duh - I wasn't seeing the homepage correctly as I guess my adblocker was mangling it. Thanks, I'll forward the same there, & hopefully that will yield a response ;)
