Can this be implemented?

With ffmpeg we can rotate videos in copy mode (without re-encoding), we also can manually edit rotation flag in HEX-mode.

Can this functionality be built into PotPLayer? It can be lossy (aka transcoding) or lossless, doesn't matter, though lossless would be more convenient. The main thing it should be persistent, not just changing playback mode for one time.
As I understand, ffmpeg codec is built into PotPlayer installation so that shouldn't be a big problem.

Preferences - Playback - Auto rotate files based on metadata

??

This is NOT official support though. It is my contribution to Potplayer.

Yes, I use this flag, but this works only for PotPlayer, and doesn't work on other players, which is not convenient If I want to share the video.

PotPlayer, not converter

Use another application to convert video
