I chose to try PotPlayer (x64) under Windows 7 & 10 ONLY because it claims to be controllable using a touchpad. I'm using a desktop computer that doesn't come with a touchpad, so I bought and connected an external wireless USB touchpad.

BUT under Windows, Windows [File] Explorer always totally and exhaustively takes full control of the touchpad and treats it exactly like a mouse, so it cannot possibly be used by PotPlayer (or anything else) as a touchpad.

Is there a solution to this catch-22? Some way of preventing Explorer from recognizing or using it or taking complete control over it? There would be no benefit of using PotPlayer without that ability.

Please help me.

Thank you!
