is there any skin out there which offers this functionality? i know the hotkey-function for years now but was not able to figure out how to delete the currently played file by mouse?

fMod for example. You can right click [-] playlist button and select "Send selected file(s) to recycle bin".

You can also edit the skin to change or add a direct left click button.

sounds promising - thanks a lot for the recomendation; the option, to add and configure a left-click-delete-button is exactly what i am looking for! unfortunately, i just can't figure out how to add a button even though i guess i clicked through every menue... therefore, can you help me out again and tell me where in the skin-options i can add such a button to the skin?

It's not possible that way, you need to manually edit the skin, you can rename the extension to .zip, it's a standard archive file.

You can ask the author of this skin for help, or for skin edit.

It would be easier to change the function of existing button, [-] or [x] - the button you need less, this way you need just edit the text file.
