Is there any way to decode Dolby Atmos with PotPlayer?

Atmos enabled receiver works great with crappy Win Media Player. But with Pot it can not bitstream Atmos.

Potplayer does not support ATMOS internally, according to the dev.

Perhaps it's coming from the TrueHD format. So try enabling its bitstreaming option in preferences.

Always try the latest beta version (x32 only) before continuing a discussion here.
This is NOT official support though. It is my contribution to Potplayer.

Thanks.

I dont change PCM default Output, but Set Built-in audio Decoder --> Pass thru SPDIF, HDMI --> Enable --> All set to Default SPDIF Muxers

Now it picks and sends Atmos and rest of good stuff to receiver, but.. I'm little confused about why then Audio info shows 6 to 2 channels downgrade..

[Audio Information]
Codec: Dolby AC3(0x2000) - AC3 S/PDIF
Sample rate: 48000 -> 48000 samples/sec
Bits per sample: 0 -> 16 bits/sample
Channels: 6 -> 2 channels

There is no way to set just a bitstreaming to let AV receiver chose what to decode, depending on original signal?

Stock Win10 media player picks everything right away and gives perfect bitstreaming to receiver, all formats DD, DTS go straight to receiver.. but I'd love Pot to do the same.

You don't need to be confused as long as it works. There is an explanation in the given link above. It is because you don't understand what bitstreaming actually is. Output channel info is meaningless in bitstreaming.

Potplayer works well as configured. I think it really depends.

Yes, as far as I can see it works great now. Pick Atmos and any other format automatically.

Thanks.
