I have 26 .mkv episodes in 16: 9 format from youtube, which were 4: 3 originally, so they all have black stripes on the sides.
I cropped them using mkvtoolnix, but potplayer obviously does not recognize this matroska container crop option. Please add Matroska container crop flag support.

Choose stretch under right-click > Aspect Ratio.

You file don't have cropped info - it's just a 4:3 format and playback as 4:3.

Yes, it works, but it stretches the vertical size, ignoring the horizontal size.
In other words, it can do the job without any crop flag trouble. In any case, every time such files occur, these are problems with the player’s settings, and this is not good, I think.

And how can it be 640: 360 = 4: 3?, The file contains information about cropping, if it weren’t, it would be 16: 9!
