By now I really, really love potplayer, it's close to perfect. One feature though I kind of miss from VLC - In VLC you can skip through the video (move forward / backward in the video) using the mouse wheel when hovering over the progress bar. For some reason I was using that feature quite often. Is it possible to configure potplayer to do that?
(I know I can have it so that the mousewheel generally moves forward / backard - But I also use the mousewheel for volume control, so the skipping should only happen when hovering oder the progress bar)

Nope.

BTW, try volume2. It provides multiple ways to change volume.

Always try the latest beta version (x32 only) before continuing a discussion here.
This is NOT official support though. It is my contribution to Potplayer.

If your mouse support tilt, you can use HotkeyP and use wheel for volume and tilt for seek.

Ah, that's an interesting idea! My mouse doesn't support it, but that might be a reason to get one that oes. Thanks! :)

You're welcome. PP supports wheel tilt (left/right). I'm using HotkeyP for other programs, it's very useful for web browsers - I'm using it for tab switching.
