I'm aware that for things like <Static> or <Image> you can design gradients in the PNGs and then place them in the playlist window, but for things like <PlaylistSkinArea> it seems only one color is accepted, like in the example below:

Code: Select all
<PlaylistSkinArea Image='Main.png' AlphaMode='1' UseWindowFrame='0' WidthLimit='250' HeightLimit='120'
BkgndColor1X='72' BkgndColor1Y='5' BkgndColor2X='83' BkgndColor2Y='5' LineColorX='94' LineColorY='5'
TextColorX='72' TextColorY='16' CurTextColorX='83' CurTextColorY='16' PlayedTextColorX='94' PlayedTextColorY='16'
SelTextColorX='72' SelTextColorY='27' SelBkgndColorX='83' SelBkgndColorY='27' FrameColorX='94' FrameColorY='27'
AlbumTabX='810' AlbumTabY='301' AlbumTabW='77' AlbumTabH='26'
AlbumTabBtnX='492' AlbumTabBtnY='301' AlbumTabBtnW='77' AlbumTabBtnH='26'
AlbumTabTextX='72' AlbumTabTextY='38' AlbumTabSelTextX='83' AlbumTabSelTextY='38'
AlbumTabDelX='495' AlbumTabDelY='275' AlbumTabDelW='7' AlbumTabDelH='7'
AlbumTabLeftX='535' AlbumTabLeftY='265' AlbumTabLeftW='15' AlbumTabLeftH='25'
AlbumTabRightX='595' AlbumTabRightY='265' AlbumTabRightW='15' AlbumTabRightH='25'
AlbumTabPopupX='655' AlbumTabPopupY='265' AlbumTabPopupW='15' AlbumTabPopupH='25'
LeftMargin='2' RightMargin='2'
TopMargin='0' BottomMargin='0'
SearchIconX='810' SearchIconY='390' SearchIconW='16' SearchIconH='17'
SearchIconSelX='835' SearchIconSelY='390' SearchIconSelW='16' SearchIconSelH='17' >
What I'm looking for is a way to allow gradients for the playlist fields' background (e.g. playlist "lines") or for the search (aka CMD_PLAY_LIST_SEARCH) background. For example, the background for the selected CMD_PLAY_LIST_SEARCH takes only the color specified by the SelBkgndColorX and SelBkgndColorY above, so if I want a gradient for that background, it seems it can't be achieved. I tried setting UsingAlpha='1' for the CMD_PLAY_LIST_SEARCH in the hope it will nicely "blend" with the underlying gradient that is the theme of my skin, but it didn't work.

Any solution for this, or it just isn't possible?

This is not possible
Containers, such as
<Static Contain='...'
can not contain a background image

Oh, ok - thanks for letting me know. So basically the playlist should be opaque and its elements having a single color background, right? Except the other <Static>-s or <Image>-s that you may place there (without Contain), of course...
